The National Alliance collects and compiles proprietary education-related data from more than 7,500 charter schools and campuses, and merges this together with data from the federal government and state education agencies. This massive databank covers all public elementary and secondary schools, school districts, authorizers, and management companies in the 50 U.S states, D.C., Puerto Rico, and Guam. We maintain a variety of data including student enrollment, and academic performance. Most of our data can also be disaggregated by race/ethnicity, sex, limited English proficiency, and disability.
Having this school-level data centralized in one place allows us to analyze trends in the charter sector as well as to promote and support high-quality education research. The Database holds hundreds of variables going back as far as 2005.
